Chris Hanson, who is the owner and operator of HB Industries and Catskills Construction, has been a carpenter since 1986. Starting out as an apprentice working for a local contractor, after school and weekends, he quickly learned the discipline and skills necessary to work in the construction field. Working summers laboring on Kitchen renovations, Roofing upgrades, Decks and simple interior renovations he realized this was what he was going to be doing for a long time to come. With his love of construction realized he decided to take the next step and in 1989 enrolled in Delhi University which was a vocational school dedicated to teaching students state of the art techniques both in and out of the classroom. He graduated in 1991 with an associates in occupied science. After graduating, Chris began a small contracting business through a DBA working in the Woodstock area primarily for Simulaids Inc., At the time a local manufacturing plant in Woodstock, NY. Chris had worked for Simulaids before becoming a carpenter. His relationship with the managing department of Simulaids during his high school years laid the foundation for his debut in the construction field as a Sole Proprietor. The company gave him maintenance projects around their many buildings that involved repairs as well as upgrades. This allowed him to fill in the gaps where small projects outside of Simulaids began to surface. This happened more and more and eventually had to give up Simulaids altogether as a full time dedication. He remained for many years doing miscellaneous projects for Simulaids. In 2000 Simulaids was sold to a large company and most of his contacts left.
He has enjoyed working with many different people from the Customer to the Building Supply Representative to fellow Contractors. Chris has developed a network of Contractors from Mechanical to building Construction with the sole purpose of completing projects in an efficient manner with a fine sense of craftsmanship. We strive for customer satisfaction in every project. Proven by 15 years in the business. Chris will walk with you through every aspect of the construction process from conception to completion. Catskills Construction has obtained over time state of the art equipment from hand, power tools to heavy construction equipment. All of our equipment undergoes frequentg maintenance and inspections to reduce down time. When new equipment is needed we purchase only top of the line tools and equipment. When a project requires a tool or certain equipment that we do not own, we will lease the necessary equipment to complete the job. Renting equipment helps us to devote more funding to hiring qualified personnel rather then owning all necessary equipment and spending precious time and money maintaining them.
Our business model consists of individuals and techniques dedicated to handling both large and small projects with close customer relations and efficient completions of individual tasks to reach a common goal between the customer and us. You are purchasing a product from us and we intend to deliver that product in a flawless manner with little or no problems along the way. We believe in honesty, coupled with respect and realize that without you the customer there would be no Catskills Construction. If we gain your trust and acceptance as a customer to us, we intend to keep that for life.
